Hey y’all, just a quick update on our progress.
Almost all of the old iRants and Rantlister Interviews have been reuploaded to the new site. I say “almost all” because the Internet Archive didn’t manage to grab everything. Unfortunately, unless those authors have copies saved and send them to me (and in one case, an author comes back from the dead; RIP DrakeGTA), those articles are forever lost to time.
Many of the iRants were written by people like Bagoda, Bob Smash, and DrakeGTA. Rather than create separate WordPress accounts with their names, I’ve elected to just credit the original author at the top of each article. Should Bagoda or Bob find this site and want to come back, I’ll be more than happy to give them accounts and switch the articles over to their names.
Once the site is fully completed, we will resume accepting iRant submissions from readers, and new iRants will be written and posted by Rantlister staff. We are currently accepting iRant submissions from readers. Please send all submissions to [email protected]. A criteria page is being drafted, and will be up in the next week or so.
The sites on The List may be dead, but I have some ideas on how to go forward with Rantlister. I’ll be discussing these in a future post. In the meantime, our next step is to update the About, iRant, and The List pages to more accurately reflect the direction we’re going. We’re still on track for total completion by the end of March.
Anyone from the old days who’s interested in helping out, feel free to reach out to me at [email protected].
