Rantlister has gone through a lot of writers, owners, relaunches, and bad ideas over the years.
The current site has its own lineup of contributors, while the archives preserve work from the people who helped shape Rantlister before them. Some were here for years. Some were only around for part of the ride.
Angry_Jerk is the only current contributor left from the original Rantlister era.
These are the people behind the rants, past and present.
Current Contributors
Angry_Jerk
Angry_Jerk has been complaining on the internet since 2002.
He launched his own website, AngryJerk.net, in early 2007 and joined Rantlister later that same year, eventually becoming the only contributor from the original Rantlister era still involved with the site.
Outside of Rantlister, he is the Editor-in-Chief of AJnet Magazine and co-owner of a management consulting firm.
Lanzar
Lanzar has been running YozukiDrive.com since 2005, making him another veteran of the old independent web.
His interests include gaming, anime, technology, internet history, and digital preservation, with a particular interest in keeping older corners of the web from disappearing entirely.
He eventually found his way onto Rantlister as a contributor.
Stephanie Trebatoski
Stephanie Trebatoski has known Angry_Jerk for years and is one of his business partners outside of Rantlister.
She is opinionated, stubborn, and rarely shy about telling somebody when she thinks they’re wrong. That tendency eventually made Rantlister a fairly natural fit.
Her middle name is Francine.
Kaelynn Rose
Kaelynn Rose is 23 years old and works in a support role at a company where her father is a manager.
She spends a considerable amount of time on her phone, has a tendency to get pulled into workplace drama, and is rarely short on opinions about the people around her.
Rantlister seemed like an appropriate outlet.
John K. Worthington III
Mr. Worthington is a man of considerable means who has spent much of his life accustomed to a certain level of comfort, service, and personal attention.
He travels frequently, has expensive tastes, and holds very firm opinions about etiquette, standards, and how people ought to conduct themselves.
Rantlister gives Mr. Worthington a place to document the many ways the modern world continues to disappoint him.

Frosty Mugg
Frosty Mugg has known Angry_Jerk for years, though neither of them seems particularly interested in defining the relationship.
He drinks too much, talks too long, and has a habit of turning simple stories into extended detours full of questionable decisions and unnecessary detail.
For reasons AJ has yet to fully explain, Frosty was eventually allowed to contribute to Rantlister.
Sam DiLuzio
Sam K. DiLuzio has known Angry_Jerk since they were teenagers and is one of his business partners outside of Rantlister.
He tends to be more reserved than most of the people around here, but that does not mean he lacks opinions of his own.
Every now and then, one of those opinions makes its way onto Rantlister.
Sarah Vandenbroek
Sarah Vandenbroek grew up in Port Richmond and spent years working in retail and restaurant management before eventually moving into the corporate world.
She has managed employees, hired people, dealt with customers, and seen enough workplace nonsense to develop a healthy distrust of overcomplicated solutions. These days, she works in a support role at the management consulting firm owned by AJ, Sam, and Stephanie.
From the Archives
Rantlister has been around in one form or another for a long time. As older material is restored, some of the people responsible for the site’s earlier years will also return to the archives.
They may not be active contributors anymore, but their work remains an important part of Rantlister’s history.
DrakeGTA
DrakeGTA was the creator of The List, the directory of rant sites that eventually became Rantlister.
The List originally lived on DrakeGTA.com before passing through several other hands and eventually becoming its own site. Years later, Drake remained involved with attempts to revive Rantlister and was one of the in-house writers for its short-lived successor, The Rant Network.
Drake passed away in September 2021, but his place at the beginning of Rantlister’s history remains a big part of the site’s legacy.

Bob Smash
Bob Smash was one of the people who kept The List alive during Rantlister’s earliest years.
After its previous home disappeared, Bob recovered The List from Google’s cache and hosted it until Bagoda secured the Rantlister.com domain. He later became the site’s owner and headed the Legion of Doom, the group responsible for deciding which writers and sites were allowed onto Rantlister.
Bob also designed the original Rantlister logo, which remains the basis for the one used today.
Bagoda
Bagoda was the writer behind The Cesspool and one of the people responsible for turning The List into Rantlister as we came to know it.
After years of The List bouncing between other websites, Bagoda pushed for it to have a permanent home and secured the original Rantlister.com domain. Along with Bob Smash, he helped build the site into its own community rather than just another page attached to somebody else’s rant site.
