You may or may not have noticed that we updated the banner at the top of the site.
I’ll be honest here, I initially was against this change. Since this site is supposed to be half-archival, I wanted to keep the banner that we used in 2009. What can I say, I’m a traditionalist.
But because not just one, nor two, nor three, not even four, but FIVE fucking people questioned why Osama bin Laden and former president George W. Bush were being used on a website in 2026, I’ve decided to cave to pressure and update it for modern times.
This was the original banner we used for the site back in 2009:

Since the site’s motto was “Mopping the world’s hatred into one bucket”, Bob Smash and Bagoda decided that the banner should include inflammatory people and events. In the original banner, you see Osama bin Laden, the burning World Trade Center, a guy throwing a Molotov cocktail at riot police, a giant explosion (I think?), and George W. Bush.
I hate to admit it, but they’re right. This shit is dated. We might be half-archival, but we’re also half-revival (and half-assed). It’s time to get with the times.
To acquiesce to my detractors’ demands, I’ve updated the banner to include two of the most hated people I can think of: Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump:

I don’t give a fuck where you stand on the political spectrum, you can’t deny that both of these people invoke anger among a large percentage of the world population. The original sentiment is still there, we’ve just updated it for modern times.
Any readers who take issue with this change can feel free to cry and scream into their Hatsune Miku body pillow about it. Or send us an iRant.
